Manual edits are checked before they are applied
When a manager manually assigns an employee, removes an assignment, clears a shift, or makes a supported template change, ElShift reviews the projected schedule before committing the change.
If the projected change is physically invalid, the action is blocked. If it is physically valid but creates scheduling-policy exceptions, ElShift presents the exceptions for manager review before an allowed override can continue.
Conflict review covers the configured scheduling context
The manual-assignment review can surface exceptions involving approved leave or full-day unavailability, configured availability, disliked weekdays or shifts, work patterns and rotation, shift-transition rest, weekly-hour limits, minimum inter-shift rest, continuous weekly rest, consecutive-day avoidance, location eligibility, missing location assignments, location staffing minimums, and overall coverage shortages.
Allowed overrides remain explicit
Where an exception is reviewable rather than an integrity failure, the manager can deliberately continue with actions such as Assign anyway, Remove anyway, Clear anyway, or Save anyway. ElShift records the manager override instead of treating the change as if no exception existed.
